Who we Are
The right and duty to be at all times armed
Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter dated 12-23-1791 “It is [the people’s] right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of the press.”
Continental Armory aims to teach gun-owners, from beginners to advanced, the laws, techniques, and freedoms of ownership and carrying of a firearm.
Founded by Omaha Police Officer Sterling Hitch,
Continental Armory consists exclusively of freedom-loving law-enforcement instructors.
Real training from real cops allows not only accurate instruction of laws and techniques, but real-life examples of how the information plays out on the street. Many other firearm training offer courses of 16 or 18 or 24 students where the training can feel impersonal. Continental Armory has class sizes of 8 with a 1:4 instructor/student ratio for a personalized experience that is great for the new shooter.
ABOUT THE OWNER
Hey, guys and gals! I’m Sterling. I’m an avid shooter, outdoor enthusiast, revolutionary war nerd, and I’m very passionate about freedom as our forefathers intended. I’ve been in Law Enforcement since 2013 and have worked in Uniform Patrol, Canine, and Special Response. I had the opportunity to go to Police Sniper School several years ago and learned a bit about shooting from great distances. I also am an NRA firearms instructor and am a Nebraska Certified Concealed Carry Instructor. I love teaching and learning from other shooters.
The courses we teach here really are a huge mixture of competitive-level shooters to aspiring shooters who have never held a gun before. All our training stresses highly on classroom and range safety and starting from
